Crop a Picture:​

Cropping means cutting any aspect ratio from the unwanted outer part of an image. Go to the Insert tab Click on the Picture in the Illustrations Group Go to the Picture location where you saved Click to select the picture you want and then, click on Insert to insert it. (you can also insert a picture by double-clicking on it) Now Automatically Picture Tools Format tab appears (Make sure that the Picture is in selection)

Before and After Cropping a Picture

In the “Size” group, click on the “Crop” or click on the drop-down arrow of the “Crop” and select the “Crop” to crop a picture in any aspect ratio you want. When you click on the “Crop”, automatically the corners of an image are selected with a dark line, after that move the mouse pointer onto any corner of an image, then hold down the left mouse button, and then drag the centre of an image as much as you want to cut the outer part of an image.

Crop a Picture to the Shape:​

Cropping to Shape is changing an image to the shape you want.

Steps to follow in Cropping a Picture to the Shape in MS Word:​
